Nau Mai, Haere Mai ki Te Papaioea! Welcome to Palmerston North.
Palmerston North is a great place with great people. We are eager to make you feel welcome and the best way to feel at home is getting to know the people who live in Palmerston North.

Here are a few places we recommend you visit and community groups who would be very happy if you become part of them:

  • The Palmerston North City Library, or the living room of the city, is right in the heart of Palmerston North at the Square and has not only tons of books in English but also in several international languages. There is a huge amount of national and international magazines, there are videos, music, free wifi, a cafe, services and lot’s and lot’s of events happening. A great place to meet the people of Palmy and the membership is for free!

  •  Te Manawa, Museum of Art, Science & History. Te Manawa is the cultural heart of a city that thrives on discovery – entertaining and inspiring people from all walks of life for more than 40 years. It’s more than a museum and a gallery. It’s a place where concepts and communities come together. Every week there are changing events happening plus several art exhibitions and kids programmes. Always worthwhile paying a visit.
